Volunteers were given activity-tracking wristbands, and they were asked to maintain a usual way of life. They also completed short surveys to learn about their thoughts and lifestyles toward various sports by gathering information.

These observations began in 2014, according to the data. Two years later, the game Pokemon Go was published. Scientists asserted that it helps people become in better shape. The game fascinated them, so they decided to put these bold assertions to the test with the help of volunteers.

Scientists discovered that approximately 50 of the 200 participants, or roughly half of the number of people who took part in this study, appreciated and were passionate about it. The effects of the game on the behavior were incredible. All who played the new game started moving considerably more.

They increased their daily activity by an average of 600-900 steps, which is approximately 10% of their total daily activity. Scientists are experimenting with it to help in boosting physical wellness.

Pokemon GO players walked an average of 1.2 kilometers more each day.

In contrast to research conducted in the United States, the favorable impacts of augmented reality lasted only six to eight months. The most exciting fact from trials conducted in the United States, the Pokemon’s players’ physical activity did not decrease throughout the winter.
